VES TEACHER OF THE YEAR NAMED

Ms. Nichole Miller is names 2015-2016 VES Teacher of the Year.
Ms. Miller is the 4th Grade Virginia Studies teacher at Victory Elementary. She has a proven success record as the school's Virginia Studies teacher; her students consistently score at mastery levels on all benchmark and SOL assessments. Last school year (2014-2015), her students achieved a 96% pass rate on the Virginia Studies SOL Assessment.
"We are still shooting for that 100%!" stated Miller when asked about her impressive pass rate.
Miller is also very active in the school community. She serves as the History Lead for the school. She is advisor to the Student Council Association (SCA). Among other school responsibilities, Miller also serves as the Black History Month Committee Chair.
